This workbook, when paired with the "Working With Words" textbook, certainly delivered. It made it easy to grasp the concepts the book put forward, by practicing them.However, I do have one complaint. I believe this workbook would be more effective if it did not repeatedly reuse example sentences from the book. It sort of destroys the purpose of having an extra assignment if you're only copying one skill on one sentence over and over, rather than trying it out on a variety of sentences.
All in all, the workbook is very useful, and it would be nearly perfect if the editors eliminated the reused sentences in the next edition.

This workbook is a fantastic compliment to the text and gives great opportunities to practice the rules learned. I would recommend this text and workbook for a class or for someone who is looking for a way to brush up on or learn grammar without a teacher. Simple, straightforward, effective.
This book tries to make a point in all exercises. Although some of the sentences do not make much sense in meaning, they serve a purpose to make a point regarding the grammatical rule being applied.
The book is unusable all the answers are filled in and notes on all the pages.
This is just the exercise book but still worth it. I picked up an old edition and was able to do most all of the exercises no problem.
This was a required book (the textbook along with the exercise book) for a college class. I'm an English major and I have a lot of grammar books, so from my perspective, these two Working with Words books are some of the best I've seen. User friendly, good examples, easy to comprehend; I'd definitely recommend for someone that would like to work on their grammar skills.
The book doesn't come with an answer key, and the publisher refuses to provide one unless you're an instructor. So if you're anybody else hoping to improve your writing and editing skills, you'll have to guess if you're making progress or not. Good luck with that.
